New Armored Vehicle Facilities in China

November 14th, 2007

International Armoring Corporation is pleased to announce the establishment of armoring facilities in the People’s Republic of China. With the developing Chinese economy and the resulting expansion of vehicle markets has come the resulting need for armored vehicles and other bulletproof products. The armoring services offered will range from handgun protection levels to high power rifle ballistics. The lower protection levels will also include a partial armor offering, where customers can, if they so elect, only have armor installed in certain parts of their vehicle - that is to say, maybe just replace the glass or install only armor panels in the doors. This will provide a ‘budget’ level of protection to those clients who feel they cannot afford the higher price of the full armor package. The volume of armored vehicles to be produced at the China facilities is expected to be close to 600 units per year the first year.escalade 12007 Toyota Land Cruiser fully armored

This assembly facility has been designed along the lines of the ‘assembly line’ principal, which permits the continual flow of the vehicle in the armoring stages to completion in about a quarter of the time that it used to take under conventional system of armoring.

As a result, this has enabled us to offer armored vehicles in an unheard of lead time of 20 days from receipt of order! This has pleased many contractors who are supplying these vehicles to their clients in the areas of severe threat situations, and currently of course this has meant the Iraq and Afghanistan areas.

We have established a standardadized armoring package, usually in the CEN B6 (UL Level 5) for high power high velocity rifles such as the 7.62x51, 5.56, .223, etc. which is the desired ballistic protection level most required in the the area. We can and will still accept special requirements which can be built in to a customer’s vehicle, however, this can extend the lead time accordingly. The essential premise here is to be able to provide a quality built armored vehiclein as little time as possible and get it into service where it is need to protect the lives of those exposed to these threats.
